Day 1 - Apollo Bay

After a night of packing, cleaning, washing and more packing we got a relatively early night, before getting up for a 4:00am departure.

Up through Kangaroo Valley then down the Hume Highway.

Stopped at Holbrook to let the kids have a break and climb over the submarine there.

As we headed towards Victoria, we found that the Eastern part of the Great Ocean Road was still closed, so we decided to start our Great Ocean Road experience at Apollo Bay, just West of the road closure. After a long day driving, we got there around 16:30.

We talked to the receptionist at the park, who said the forecast was quite good for tonight, though the next night may be dubious, so we setup the tent and tried to make sense of our packing.

Apollo Bay was really nice and the caravan park was excellent, we've added it to our list of places to go again. The kids loved it.
