day 0
drove up to sydney to catch our flight to cairns.
Scottie's car had overheating problems on the way up, so we had to take it easy. with hindsight, perhaps that was an indication of the rest of the trip. sometimes you've just gotta keep on going...
we were met at Cairns' airport by the man himself, Warwick Schuberg.we met up for dinner at a cairns restaurant and bar called "rattle'n'hum". besides me and Greg and Scottie we caught up with another guy on the trip, Andy, his name is gonna be easy to remember. he's an ex-pat pom now living in kiwi land. racing motocross.
the stayupright crew frequent this place often when they are in town. i suspect Richard Branson could be a co-owner, mostly i suspect because of the apparent hiring policy. lots and lots of talent. Warwick spends the entire night dribbling before he has to leave to pick up another customer.
my mates need to learn that barmaids get hit on all the time, leave them alone. how boring.
although, this barmaid did have bull's horns tattooed on her back below her midriff revealing top. i ask my mate "what's the go? handlebars?". so he bails her up and asks her and she says r m williams. ok doll, you deserve all the morons hitting on you after all...
